Provider of automation systems for cutting and stitching Gerber Technology officially opened a new research and development centre in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, on April 8.

Bui Xuan Khu, permanent vice minister of industry and trade, was the main guest at the opening ceremony of the facility, which Gerber is calling the Advanced Technology Center. Kenneth Fairfax, US consul general in the city, and Marc Giles, president and CEO of parent company, Gerber Scientific, were also there.
