Good month for Pakistan

During the month of February 2008, Pakistan's leather sector exports showed a growth of 25.8% to $99.1 million from $78.75 million in January 2008. This represents an increase of 44.2% compared with February 2007 ($68.716-million), according to data released by Federal Bureau of Statistics, Government of
Pakistan today.

The breakdown showed that country exported leather worth $33.2 million, leathergoods worth $55.7 million and footwear $10.2 million compared to $32.1 million, $37.8 million and $8.9 million respectively in the previous month.
