The leather sector in Brazil has said it was very happy with the impact it made on the APLF exhibition that took place in Hong Kong this week. Its representation was led by industry bodies such as the Brazilian Association of Companies of Components for Leather, Footwear and Related Goods (Assintecal).
Walter Prefeito, vice-president for exports at Assintecal commented: "On the first day of the event we made contact with more than 60 companies and an audience of more than 100 turned up for a presentation on trends that our fashion and design consultant, Walter Rodrigues, gave. The most important aspect of that was that the members of the audience were key people who represented footwear and handbag manufacturers from countries such as India, Thailand and the United States."
