Centre of excellence plans take shape

Italy's southern centre of leather production, Solofra, will have its centre of technical excellence. The plan, which will help tanners in the area to advance technically and commercially was announced towards the end of last year.
A meeting will take place in Solofra on April 16 to put more detail on the plans. The venue will be the restored convent of Santa Chiara, which will house the centre when it opens for business.
Technical input to the centre's activity will come from the City University of Salerno.
