Tannery tender cancelled

The government of Bangladesh's advisory committee on purchasing has taken a decision not to continue with a tender exercise for new effluent treatment plants for tanneries in the country.
At a meeting on April 1 the committee agreed to go ahead with a plan to invest in new infrastructure projects for the national railway company, but put the tanning project off until an unnamed future date.
