Wilsons CEO announces resignation

The chief executive of Wilsons The Leather Experts is to step down in early April.
The company says Michael Searles will leave “on or about” April 3 and will resign as a director at the same time.
It will begin looking for a successor immediately.
Mr Searles has been CEO since December 2004. The company says he is leaving now both for personal and professional reasons.
Wilsons has been struggling for some time. In February it said it would close most of its 260 mall locations and cut more than 1,000 jobs. In March it reported a 2007 net loss that almost tripled to $97 million.
