Fewer players in Tuscany

Statistics from the Tuscan region show that there were 149 fewer companies operating there in the leather and footwear sector at the end of 2007 than at the start of the year.
This suggests that 1.8% of businesses active in the sector in Tuscany closed down in 2007, a disappointing performance compared to the apparel sector, which registered the launch of 100 new companies over the same period.
