Germans on crocodile mission

04/03/2008

An official group of 18 German business people are in the middle of a visit to the Brazilian state of Mato Grosso do Sul to learn about a local species of cayman crocodile called the jacaré.

As well as tasting the meat of the animals, the Europeans will have the chance to work with leather produced from the reptiles, with a view to using it in future to make shoes, bags, garments and other leathergoods.
