January drop, but price-trend still up

The Italian national statistical institute, Istat, has issued new figures showing a drop in the price of leather and leathergoods for the month of January. Compared to the previous month, the value of goods in the sector was down by 0.6%.
However, the 12-month trend still showed a healthy rise in the value of leather and leathergoods of 6.8%.
