BASF raises ethylhexylamine prices in Europe

27/02/2008
With immediate effect, German chemicals manufacturer BASF is increasing prices for ethylhexylamine in Europe by €50/ton for 2-ethylhexylamine (CAS 104-75-6) €50 /ton for di-2-ethylhexylamine (CAS 106-20-7), or by the equivalent amount in local currency, as applicable contractual terms and conditions allow.

According to the company, the increases are necessary due to high raw material and energy costs and sustained high demand for these products.

Ethylhexylamines are commonly used in the production of pigments, fuel additives and surfactants.
