Italian luxury goods company Mariella Burani Fashion Group’s decision to focus its business on leathergoods and jewellery has proved to be a prudent move as the company has reported a significant rise in revenue for 2007.

Full year revenue improved to €701.3 million in 2007, up from €672.6 million in the preceding year, which equates to total revenue growth of 11.7% and organic revenue growth of 16.5%. This was largely driven by a strong performance at its Leather Goods division, Antichi Pellettieri, which achieved turnover of €300 million in 2007, up more than 19% compared with 2006.
