Orders slip at Lectra
Whether it is a sign of tighter budgets as a result of a global economic slowdown remains to be seen, but French developer of software and CAD/CAM equipment for the leather, textile and industrial fabrics sectors Lectra saw its growth in orders for new software licenses and CAD/CAM equipment slow to 3% in the fourth quarter, down from the robust 14% year-on-year growth seen in the first nine months of the year.
However, in spite of this weaker trend, as a result of a strong first three quarters the company achieved 20% more new orders for software licences in 2007 compared with 2006, while CAD/CAM equipment orders increased 6%. Revenues for the year also improved, rising 3% to reach €6.9 million.
