Leather sector revenues increase by $15 million
Citing the Ministry of Trade and Investment, reports from the Ethiopian News Agency state that the African country, which hosted the All African Leather Fair last week, improved revenue in the leather sector by $15 million year-on-year in the last fiscal year to reach $90 million.
Commenting on the improvement, state minister of trade and investment, Tadesse Haile said that the leather and leather goods sector had benefited from several measures and incentives implemented by the government aimed at boosting trade and development. He added that the leather industry now had to focus on further enhancing national and international co-operation to further increase exports, create jobs and strengthen the network between institutions and the private sector.
