Brazilian exports surpass expectations

According to figures released by the Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade, Brazil’s total exports for 2007 increased 16.6% over 2006 exceeding the government's forecasts.

While petrol led the way in terms of improved imports rising 52.7% year-on-year, leather exports ranked amongst the top three in the semi-manufactured products sector rising 16.3%.
