High demand for high-end at GDS
The ever-increasing demand for high-end footwear and accessories on the high street is being reflected more than ever at trade fairs around the globe through the ever-expanding floor space devoted to such goods. German show GDS/GLS is no exception to this phenomenon, and as a result of the continuous, strong growth in the event’s ‘Premium’ segment, the floor space has had to be expanded in order to accommodate all of those wishing to participate.
“The continued high demand in the exclusivity area proves that GDS/GLS is expanding its significance as major information and order platform for the entire show industry. We must admit that we were somewhat surprised at the positive response, but this also confirmed that we chose the right path. Therefore, we decided at short notice to utilise hall 17. This allows us to offer even more premium brands to our international buyers,” explained project director Kirstin Deutelmoser.
Some 300 brands are expected to exhibit at the show in Düsseldorf in March, more than 10% of which will be new exhibitors.
