02/01/2008
As a result of higher raw material and energy expenses as well as rising logistics costs, German chemicals producer Lanxess has raised the prices for its complete portfolio of Basic Chemicals by 5%, with immediate effect.
Commenting on the move Holger Hueppeler, head of Marketing in the Business Unit Basic Chemicals, said that considerable increases within the last couple of months could not be adsorbed by productivity increases within production.
