The Centre for the Brazilian Tanning Industry (CICB) has requested that China stop demanding sanitary certificates for imports of Brazilian leather.
 
At a recent meeting with the Brazilian ministry of agriculture, CICB asked for this point to be included in forthcoming bilateral discussions between the two countries. The ministry agreed to bring the matter up for discussion.
