Leather exports break $4 billion barrier

13/12/2007

Vietnam's exports of leather footwear and other leathergoods have passed $4 billion for the first 11 months of 2007. This represents a 12.17% increase compared to the same period last year.

In spite of anti-dumping measures against leather footwear exports from Vietnam to the European Union, footwear manufacturers in the Asian country still exported leather footwear worth $3.5 billion for the 11-month period, a 10% increase on last year.
