Rohm and Haas raises prices in Asia-Pacific
As of January 1, or as contracts allow, American chemical manufacturer Rohm and Haas’ Packaging and Building Materials business will raise prices for all its products sold in the Asia-Pacific Region to the leather, adhesives, plastic additives, textiles, non-woven, graphic arts, and paper industries.
The company will raise prices for all tin-based heat stabilisers by 10%, and will implement increases of between 5% and 10% for all other products including acrylics and modified acrylics, styrenics and modified styrenics, polyurethanes, polyesters and complementary technologies.
The company cited tightening supplies and rapidly rising costs of feedstocks, and continued increases in energy and freight costs as the reasons for the move.
