Asian manufacturers see eastern promise
The potential for the expansion of leather and footwear manufacturing and consumption in Eastern Europe is not going unnoticed by the sector’s suppliers or by other exporting countries.
As already reported by www.leatherbiz.com companies such as Lanxess and Rohm and Haas are already expanding their presence in the region and now it seems that Asian producers are looking to secure their piece of the action.
With this in mind, a delegation of manufacturers and exporters from Pakistan’s leather industry has announced that it will exhibit at the Shoes, Leather and Leathergoods show in Poznan, Poland, next March.
Led by Pakistan’s Trade Development Authority (TDA), the delegation hopes to raise the profile of Pakistan’s leather, footwear and leather goods products in the region.
