DeCoro goes green

Although many European upholstery tanners and furniture manufacturers are currently facing a tough market situation, they continue to enhance their commitment to improving the environmental impact of their goods. In line with this ethos, Italian leather furniture company DeCoro recently unveiled its new 2008 line with Blox’s eco-friendly leather protection system.

According to Blox, rather than using harsh chemicals, its product safely acts as a durable protector against moisture, dirt and stains, creating an invisible barrier, not a coating, to ensure that leather will remain at its best for years.

President and chief executive of DeCoro, Luca Ricci, commented "There was a clear reason for partnering with Blox. The company's fabric protection system is non-toxic and PFOA free. We were very intrigued by the [ ] system after viewing how this high-performing new technology creates an invisible stain barrier without affecting the intrinsic, aesthetic beauty of our leather. However, after learning that Blox is free of PFOA, PFOS and silicone, we were sold."
