Big name brands team up with students at Le Cuir à Paris
Through a continuing partnership with the IFM (French Fashion Institute), nine student designers will present prototypes of leather gloves, shoes and clothing produced in collaboration with big brands such as Bally, Charles Jourdan, Clergerie, Louis Vuitton and Polux at Le Cuir à Paris in February.
Other more well-established designers will also be present at the event, including Hélène Thoorens, who recently created a footwear collection the André chain of shoe shops in France, who will showcase purses in fur and leather; artist Mireille Rohr, who will exhibit her handmade leather accessories including watches, bracelets and necklaces; and Brazilian designers Erika Ikezili and Taisa Hirsh, who will present their fish leather clothing, produced under the ‘Dona Gueisha’ brand.
180 exhibitors from around the world, 13 of which will attend for the first time, have already confirmed their presence at the Paris show.
