German chemical company BASF AG is raising its prices for formic acid, 2 ethylhexanoic acid, Isononanoic acid, propionic acid and mixtures based on formic acid and propionic acid in Europe, with immediate effect or as existing contracts permit.

Formic acid, 85% and Isononanoic acid will increase by €100 per tonne (€/t), Formic acid, 99% will be raised by 120 €/t, 2-Ethylhexanoic acid will increase 70 €/t, and Propionic acid will be raised by 50 €/t. In its mixtures based on formic acid, the price of Lupro-Cid (64% formic acid content) will rise 90 €/t and Lupro-Mix (43% formic acid content) will increase 60 €/t.
