New production optimisation software launched

American provider of production optimisation software Plataine has launched a new software solution, Total Production Optimization, for upholstery furniture manufacturers that is said to enable “unprecedented” levels of efficiency through optimising material usage, machine productivity, and overall production schedules.
Based on the status of each order and every machine at any given time, the system automatically generates real-time production schedules combined with optimised nesting and machine tool paths for each order as well as providing real-time measurement of material utilisation, employee and machine performance.

Commenting on the new software president Elery Pfeffer said, "Over many years of working closely with manufacturers, we have recognised the need for a solution that would collect critical data from the shop-floor and enable production managers to optimise decisions based on this information. Customers that are currently implementing the solution are already recording measurable productivity gains, and the reaction is extremely enthusiastic."
