Weyco signs deal with Excelled Sheepskin & Leather Coat Corp
American owner of the Stacy Adams, Florsheim, Nunn-Bush, and Brass Boot brands Weyco Group has licensed New York-based Excelled Sheepskin & Leather Coat Corp. to manufacture and market men's outerwear under its Stacy Adams brand.
Commenting on the agreement, Mike Holzberg, senior vice-president of Excelled Sheepskin & Leather, which already holds licences with Chaps and Columbia, said, "We're thrilled about having an opportunity to be associated with the number one urban dress-up brand in the market today."
The Stacy Adams brand, which was founded as a footwear manufacturer in 1875, has moved into apparel and accessories over the past ten years. Its products now include suits, sportswear, leather, dress shirts, ties, headwear, belts, socks, jewellery and footwear.
The leather outerwear collection will be introduced in the autumn 2008 season.
