The Centre for the Brazilian Tanning Industry (CICB) has elected its managing director Luiz Augusto Siqueira Bittencourt as president. He will be replaced as managing director by consultant Hélio Méndes who is currently in charge of CICB's strategic planning.

The CICB represents the Brazilian tanning industry which includes approximately 800 tanneries. The industry generates about $3 billion GDP annually and employs over 50,000 people.
