The Brazilian Association of Leather Technicians and Chemists (ABQTIC) has elected Vilmar Trevisan as president and Hugo Springer as vice-president for the 2008/2009 term, effective January 1. 

Mr Trevisan is an industrial manager at the Fritsch e Cia Ltda tannery in Ivoti, whilst Mr Springer is a well-known environmental management and technology consultant  who works in the leather sector in Novo Hamburgo.
