According to the September figures released by France’s national institute for statistics and economic studies (L’INSEE), industrial production slipped by 1.1% month-on-month in September, following stable figures in August (+0.1).

In the consumer goods sector, which declined 1.2% overall, leather garment production saw the largest fall, slipping 3.7% month-on-month, followed by household goods which decreased 3.1%.
