Sales fall 9% at Land of Leather
UK leather furniture retailer Land of Leather has reported a 9.2% drop in sales orders in the first quarter, ended October 28, compared with an increase in excess of 5% in the comparable period last year. The company cited a difficult retail environment in Ireland as an attributing factor in the decline.
In spite of a less than positive first 13 weeks, the company remains positive for the rest of the year and plans to add a further 15 stores by the end of the fourth quarter.
