CAAB names new CEO

Certified Australian Angus Beef (CAAB) has named Phil Morley as joint CEO of the company, as of the beginning of November. In this new role he will join Michael Pointer as joint CEO until March 2008 when Mr Pointer will retire.

Commenting on the appointment, chairman, Ed Blackadder, said, “Phil brings a wealth of meat industry experience to the company. His knowledge and thorough understanding of the complexities of supply chain management will be of outstanding benefit to the CAAB business.”

During his career Mr Morley has been a director of both Meat & Livestock Australia and Aus-Meat, the national manager Meat for Coles Myer and Bi Lo Supermarkets, national business manager for Dairy Farm Holdings/ Franklins and merchandise manager Meat at Woolworths Limited.
