Two major players in the safety footwear manufacturing sector, France-based Lemaitre Sécurité and India’s Rahman Export Group, have formed a new partnership aimed at expanding production and the two companies’ global presence.

The Rahman Group, which originally specialised in leather tanning (with 12 tanneries) but has moved more into the production of the main components of shoes in recent years, operates manufacturing facilities in India and the United Arab Emirates whilst Lemaitre runs sites in France, South Africa and China.
