Italian and Indian project set to boost leather ties
An organisation of small- and medium-sized businesses from the Italian province of Urbino is said to be planning to invest €3 million into the Indian leather and footwear industry through a co-operative project with the Association of Leather Manufacturers in Chennai.
According to Indian media reports, representatives from the Chamber of Commerce in Pesaro, Italy, and the Association of Leather in Chennai will sign a memorandum of understanding (MoU) early next week aimed at improving bilateral trade in the shoe and leather industries.
