Lanxess raises TMP prices

German chemicals manufacturer Lanxess has announced a global price increase for its trimethylolpropane (TMP), which is used in the manufacture of coatings, plastics, polyurethanes and pigments, with immediate effect. Prices will be raised by €150 per metric ton in Europe and by $200 per metric ton elsewhere. The company cited drastically increased raw material costs as the reason for the rise.
