Tandy retail rises offset by wholesale declines

Tandy Leather Factory Inc. has reported a 2% decline in overall sales for September.
Total sales were $4.2 million compared with $4.3 million last September. However, its Retail Leathercraft sales rose 4% to $1.9 million from $1.8.
The company’s year-to-date sales are up 1% to $40.9 million from $40.3 million in the nine-month period a year earlier. Year-to-date Retail Leathercraft sales increased 13% to $17.9 million from $15.8 million, while Wholesale Leathercraft sales were $22.1 million, down from $22.8 million.
