Tata Group to expand UK presence

Indian trading conglomerate Tata Group is looking to increase its influence within the UK market by making new inroads into the leather footwear market, as well as other endeavours. The UK is currently its largest market outside India and it is now concentrating on raising the profile of the Tata brand in the country.

The company’s annual revenues from the UK are approximately $7 billion at present, and it is hoped that new initiatives will lift this to between $9 million and $10 million by 2010.
