Japan Airlines is to offer First Class seats on domestic routes for the first time from December 1 on roundtrips between its Tokyo Haneda and Osaka Itami hubs. It is hoped more destinations will be included in the near future.

The new cabin will feature reclining seats with additional legroom and made from luxury, high-end leather. Other benefits include gourmet Japanese cuisine and priority booking.

The company also recently revamped lounges at its main international hub, Narita International. Its First Class Lounge and Sakura Lounge now feature leather and suede upholstered sofa-style furniture and soft lighting, offering travellers a touch of added comfort.
