Silvateam Guangzhou given free reign in China
Silvateam’s Chinese subsidiary, Silvateam Guangzhou, has been given authority to conduct business freely across China, having met all the relevant legal requirements.
The company claims it is the first Italian group to have been allowed to directly import and commercialise its full range of products in China.
In order to obtain the license, the company has had to demonstrate its ability to contribute to the competitiveness of Chinese tanneries. Investment in its Shishan-based tanning laboratory has enabled the company to offer technical assistance for the Chinese leather industry and training provided by its technical staff is also seen as beneficial to the local market.
All of its products can be dispatched from the laboratory within hours and customers can buy from the local warehouse, from the duty-free zone or from Hong Kong. Furthermore, it has developed new products specifically for the Chinese market.
