The Brazilian Technology Institute for the leather, footwear and allied trades, IBTeC, is to celebrate its 35^th anniversary with a dinner party, bringing together many representatives from these market sectors.

Since it was founded by a group of entrepreneurs in October 1972, IBTeC has contributed to the technological development of the sector by offering information and technical services, and coordinating research for the shoe and leather industries. 

It researches new technologies related to foot comfort and health as well as being a certifying body for footwear and leather goods. Its SATRA accredited laboratories apply the physical, mechanical and chemical tests used for quality control.
