Sweden-based fashion clothing company Lindex has inaugurated its first store in the Czech Republic. The new 600 m² store is in Brno, the country’s second largest city.

CEO Göran Bille described the Czech Republic as “an ideal market” for its children’s clothing, women’s fashion and lingerie. “This opening marks an important step in Lindex’s expansion in Central Europe. We plan to open a further five or six stores there during the current financial year,” he said.

The new store is now stocking autumn and winter fashions, inspired by trends from the 1930s and 1940s. Luxury leather and satin fabrics have been combined with soft mohair and thin cotton for a cool, streetwise look.

The company now has 341 stores in seven countries.
