Italy’s industrial leather production falls
17/09/2007
Industrial leather and leather goods production in Italy fell by 5.2% in July, according to ISTAT, the Italian National Institute of Statistics. This contrasts strongly with the March to May period, during which the leather sector helped to drive growth.
Despite this, overall industrial production was up 2.4% compared with July 2006, while the January-to-July period revealed a 1.4% increase year-on-year.
