Authorities close tannery over environmental concerns

The provincial authorities in Buenos Aires have ordered the temporary closure of a tannery in the town of Florencio Varela.
Inspectors said the equipment the tannery had in place to prevent contamination was not reliable enough and that it presented "an imminent threat to the health of the tannery workers and the local community".
