Design award contenders announced

The American Society of Furniture Designers (ASFD) has announced the finalists for its annual design competition.
The contenders for the prizes for ‘motion upholstery’ are American Leather for its Clever recliner and ottoman, Elite Leather for its Doheny design, the ASFD’s own La-Z-Boy, Le Mans and Barcalounger designs.
In the leather upholstery category, the finalists are American Leather for Arclounge, Elite Leather for Clark, Couture International for MOOD and the ASFD for Velero.
The association will announce the winners at an awards banquet on October 1.
