Exports to Italy delight Turkish leather sector

Leather exports from Turkey to the US have fallen by 21.2%, but increased success in shipping leather to Italy and other European countries has mad up for it.

Turkey’s total leather exports for the first six months of the year rose 22.3% to $506.7m, despite a slowdown in shipments of leather and fur garments.

Exports to Italy rose by 127.3%, to the UK by 54.7% and to France by 18.2%.
