'Core customer' focus begins to pay off

Earnings are up at designer, manufacturer and retailer of high-quality leather and suede clothing and accessories, Danier Leather.

The company reported an increase in profit of 10% compared to last year, which it attributed to a recently introduced strategy of refocusing its merchandise offering and marketing programs on its core customers.


It markets all its merchandise under its own brand name and only through its own 90 retail outlets or through its corporate sales division.
