Luxury leathergoods hold steady amid stock-market storms

August has been a turbulent on the stock markets, but high-end leathergoods are holding their appeal.
The chief executive of Coach, Lew Frankfort, told Reuters today that the demand for his company’s designer handbags and accessories remained high.
“Our business continues very strong in all channels,” he said.
