BASF wins pricing court case

A court in New Jersey has awarded chemicals manufacturer BASF damages of $170 million after it upheld a complaint against  a US supplier.

BASF said the Lyondell Chemical Company had maintained over an eight-year period of charging the German firm more than its other customers for propylene oxide.

Forbes said Lyondell may appeal the decision.
