The Pakistan Tanners Association (PTA-Southern Zone) Environmental Society
has announced plans to outsource the operation of its recently opened industrial wastewater treatment facility serving Korangi Tanneries in Karachi in the Sindh Province of the country. The association is now inviting tenders from international contractors registered with the Pakistan Engineering Council to submit proposals for the technical and financial management of the plant including the supervision
of operation and maintenance of the facility.

The main components of the facility include a combined effluent treatment plant (CETP), a conveyance system, a pumping station and a dilution line.

The closing date for tenders is August 17.
