New trends from Stahl Asia Pacific at ACLE

Stahl Asia Pacific is to continue its ‘Fashion Future’ theme at the next All China Leather Exhibition, which will take place on September 5-7 in Shanghai.

It will display leathers using the latest wet end, dyeing and finishing products. Colours and effects have been inspired by fashion forecasts devised by the Stahl Design Studio in Milan, adapted for the Asian market.

The ‘Asian Cowboy’ trend focuses on raw, naked leather with waterproofing fillers FI-18-871 and FI-78-070, both developed specially for the Asian market.

Others include: ‘Saba’, a group of soft, smooth leathers with a luxurious appearance and an oily, natural touch; ‘Frou Frou’; ‘Technical Sport’ with its white shades and structured, metallic effects; and the new ‘Patent white’.

Soft and energetic garment leathers will be on show at the fair, as will traditional-looking upholstery leathers. A display of finished leather goods has also been planned, focussing largely on handbags.

Overall, the display will include more metallic effects, modern gloss, luxury and patent leather.
