US leather, leatherworking tools, dyes and finishes retailer and wholesale distributor Tandy Leather Factory, Inc. has opened the eighth new retail store of the 12 planned for this year in Rapid City, South Dakota. The new outlet brings the number of Tandy Leather retail stores to 70.

Commenting on the latest opening, CEO and president, Ron Morgan, said, “This new store fills a gap in the upper Mid-West for us in terms of geographic coverage.”

The company distributes its products through 29 Leather Factory stores, located in 19 US states, 70 Tandy Leather retail stores, located in 33 states, and Mid-Continent Leather Sales, one store located in Oklahoma.
