Toyota has appointed Tadashi Arashima as a senior managing director of Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC), effective June 22. He will continue to manage Toyota's European operations and retain his title of president and chief executive officer of Toyota Motor Europe (TME) and will also join TMC's board of directors as chief officer, Europe & Africa Operations Group.

Toyota Motor Europe NV/SA (TME) oversees the wholesale sales and marketing of Toyota and Lexus vehicles, parts and accessories, and Toyota's European manufacturing and engineering operations. The company directly and indirectly employs approximately 55,000 people in Europe.
